Broad Spectrum protection
Our sunsheild provides broad-spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays, offering comprehensive protection from sun damage.
Prevention of skin cancer
UV radiation is a major risk factor for skin cancer, including melanoma, basal cell carcinoma, and squamous cell carcinoma. Prolonged exposure to UV radiation damages the DNA in skin cells, which can lead to mutations and cancer.
Prevents Premature Aging
Photoaging is the premature aging of the skin caused by repeated exposure to UV radiation. Symptoms include wrinkles, leathery skin, and dark spots. UV rays break down collagen and elastin fibers in the skin, which are responsible for its elasticity and firmness.
Avoid Sunburn
Sunburn is an acute reaction to excessive UV exposure, causing red, painful skin that may blister. Sunburns not only cause immediate discomfort but also contribute to long-term skin damage and increase the risk of skin cancer.
Maintenance of Immune Function
Overexposure to UV radiation can suppress the skin’s immune response, making it less effective at fighting infections and other diseases. Protecting your skin helps maintain its role as an effective barrier against harmful pathogens.
Protecting our environment
The absence of harmful chemicals also ensures that your sunscreen is reef-safe and less likely to contribute to coral bleaching and marine life harm.
Mineral Based
The main ingredient protecting your skin in our product is a natural mineral that sits on top of the skin, and physically blocks UV rays rather than being absorbed into the skin like some chemical sunscreens.
Gentle On Skin
Our product is gentle on sensitive Skin: There are no synthetic ingredients, fragrances, and preservatives, which can be less irritating to sensitive skin and less likely to cause allergic reactions or dermatitis.
No White Cast
Cocoa Powder: The addition of cocoa powder helps to naturally tint the sunscreen, reducing the white cast that is often associated with zinc oxide-based sunscreens. This allows the sunscreen to blend more seamlessly with various skin tones.
Water Resistance
Beeswax and Oils: The combination of beeswax and natural oils (olive oil and beef tallow) creates a hydrophobic barrier on the skin. This barrier helps repel water, making the sunscreen more resistant to washing off during swimming or sweating.
Avoiding Harmful Chemicals
We use Healthier Ingredients indstead of synthetic chemicals such as oxybenzone and octinoxate, which have been linked to hormonal disruptions and skin irritation, your sunscreen provides a safer alternative.
NO Wait Time
Zinc oxide is a physical blocker that starts protecting the skin immediately upon application. Unlike chemical sunscreens that need to be absorbed and activated by the skin, zinc oxide reflects UV rays from the moment it is applied.
Apply Generously: Apply a generous amount to all exposed skin 15 minutes before sun exposure.
For best results: Use approximately a nickel-sized amount for each arm and leg and pea size amount for your face & neck.
Rub In Evenly: Ensure the sunscreen is evenly distributed across your skin.
Re-apply every 2 Hours. Reapply immediately after swimming, sweating, or towel drying.
Please review the ingredients list carefully. If you are allergic to any of the ingredients listed, we advise against using this product to avoid potential allergic reactions.
